130 Foreign Nationals And Nigerians Are Arrested By Police For Cybercrime And Hacking.

130 Suspects, including 113 foreign Nationals (87 men and 13 women), mostly from China and Malaysia, and their 17 Nigerian accomplices (4 men and 13 women), have been taken into custody by the Nigeria police force on suspicion of high - level cybercrimes, hacking, and activities that endanger National security.
This strategic operation involved a well-planned raid on a building in Jahi, Abuja's next cash and carry neighborhood, where the suspects were allegedly employing computers and other advanced technology to help carry out illegal activities. On Saturday, November 2, 2024, officers from the Nigeria police force zone 7 command Abuja and the National Cybercrime (NPFNCCC) participated in an operation led by AIG Benneth Igweh, the assistant Inspector- General of police for zone 7 Headquarters, Abuja.
We are looking into the matter and conducting a scientific analysis of the exhibits that were found on them; the suspects will be charged in court when our investigations are complete, and we will provide the public with updates on our findings as soon as possible.
