US Soldier Arrested in AT&T and Verizon Hacks

Two counts of unauthorized transfer of private phone records were allegedly brought against a US Army soldier who was apprehended in Texas on December 20. Cameron The 20-year-old John Wagenius is suspected of using the online alias "Kiberphant0m" to release presidential call data from AT&T and Verizon.

Along with Connor Riley Moucka, popularly known as "Judische," who was arrested in October of last year for his role in the Snowflake account breach, Wagenius was first identified as a participant in the Snowflake hacking effort. After Moucka was detained, Kiberphant0m allegedly sold data schema from the National Security Agency, phone logs from US government agencies, and a SIM-swapping Verizon service, in addition to publishing stolen call logs for former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Additionally, he wrote on Telegram about running a distributed denial-of-service botnet and compromising over 15 telecom firms. No other information about Wagenius' involvement in the Snowflake assaults has been made public, although an indictment claims that he was involved in the sale and delivery of private phone records.
