The Interpol Cybercrime Directorate In Singapore Has Recognized The Nigeria Police Force ( N P F) As The Best Cybercrime Unit In Africa, Marking A Significant Victory In The Force's Battle Against Cybercrime.

This distinguish honor puts the National Cybercrime center ( NPF-NCCC) ahead of cybercrime units from 54 African countries in the fight against digital fraud throughout the continent. The NPF-NCCC achieved historic victories in the fight against cybercrime in 2024. The unit reaffirmed it's commitment to Justice by restoring #8.82 Billion, 115,237.91 USDT, and $84,000 USD to victims of cyber fraud schemes.

In addition to making monetary reparations, the unit conducted strategic activities that led to 751, those engaged in cybercrime and the seizure of 685 electronic devices, such as servers, laptops, and cell phones. The infrastructure that supports cybercrime was further dismantled by the seizure of significant physical assets, including homes, land parcels, and automobiles connected to such activities.

The NPF-NCCC's creative methos, strategic enforcement, and important contribution to the advancement of cybersecurity in Africa are acknowledged by the Interpol Award.
